Day 1: Welcome to San José.  Lodging at Best Western Irazú.

Day 2: An early morning departure will have you en route through one of Costa Rica’s most scenic parks, Braulio Carrillo, then continue the journey heading towards the lowlands of the province of Limon, passing through banana plantations.  A boat will be waiting for you to take you into the heart of Tortuguero National Park, to explore the intricate system of natural canals and waterways.  Observe the abundant flora and fauna on your way.  The comfortable lodge will be your base of discovery for the next few days.  All meals included.

Day 3: Today your naturalist tour guide will to take you to explore yet more of the canals in this lush rain forest region, as well as walking through the trails of the park, and a visit to the little village of Tortuguero. All meals included.

Day 4: This morning awake early to enjoy the lovely surroundings of Costa Rica’s own “Amazon” - like area, then head back to San Jose, first by boat, and then the journey back on land.  Breakfast and lunch included.  Lodging at Best Western Irazú.

Day 5: A unique combination of a volcano, the old capital city of Cartago and the picturesque Orosi Valley, rich in colonial history. Breakfast at the hotel, snack & lunch in the tour.  Lodging at Best Western Irazú.

Day 6: Today’s exciting journey takes you up to the majestic Arenal Volcano, the countrys most active with continuous eruptions, and includes a visit to the rejuvenating Tabacon Hot Springs, then another chance to gaze at the volcano by night.  Lodging at Best Western Irazú. Breakfast at hotel & dinner included during the tour.

Day 7: An unforgettable trip, cruising among the picturesque islands of the Gulf of Nicoya. Listen to live tropical music until you reach the deserted Isla Tortuga.  Once on the island enjoy the swaying palms, and the white sandy beach, swim snorkel and relax. Breakfast at the hotel, snack & lunch included in the tour.  Lodging at Best Western Irazú.

Day 8: Farewell to Costa Rica.  Transfer out to the international airport.  Breakfast included.
